This scheme was designed to add additional bedrooms within an existing curved bedroom block at the Rose and Crown Hotel. The existing building is in a sensitive location in planning terms and also borders a flood plain. The proposed scheme encroached on this flood plain, and significant balancing had to be undertaken to maintain the floor volumes around the proposed buildings.
