3d Architects successfully obtained planning permission from Norwich City Council for a new development of 18 apartments on a site near the heart of the city. The site presented a series of challenges that required extensive negotiations with various departments of the local authority.
Pottergate is a pleasant street close to the heart of Norwich in an area that is currently benefitting from a period of regeneration. This scheme aimed to provide a sympathetic reinstatement of the street scene, respecting the older buildings nearby. It sensitively handled the constraints that arise from being in a historically significant location, enhancing the location from a variety of viewpoints, giving a new lease of life to a site that had been overlooked for some time.
