The Parklands Nursing Home project involved the refurbishment and extension of the existing facility to create a safe and secure environment for patients, whilst offering open views to the River Ousel and beyond. Planning negotiations were carried out over a period of some years to obtain an approval which allowed a minimum acceptable number of bedrooms for the client.
The client was a driving force in pursuing a strong agenda for practical sustainability including heat pumps and solar collectors.
