The Oxford Street store was part of a multi-use site at the Marble Arch end of Oxford Street; this project involved a complete refurbishment of the dated 1970s interior. The design required the provision of three major retail floors and included concepts which had been tested in other Allders store, such as the omission of formal walkways. The plan also included a high quality cafe at first floor level and the remodelling of all entrances.
Working in conjunction with Allders design house we produced the departmental layout drawings. The concessions area was particularly challenging as we had to integrate the individual requirements of several franchised retailers into the overall scheme.
